If learning Python, SQL or AI has been on your list, this is a free week to start, so we asked DataCamp how to use it well.

We asked DataCamp five questions about the week. Their answers, in their words:
1. What is Free Access Week, and what can someone use for free from November 2 to 8? Is anything left out, and do they need a credit card?
For seven days, DataCamp’s entire course library is available for $0. From November 2 to 8, you get access to 700+ courses, every career and skill track, hands-on projects, practice exercises, assessments and even industry-recognized certifications. Python, SQL, Power BI, data analytics, AI engineering: all of it. No credit card. No trial that quietly turns into a subscription. Just create a free account and start learning.
2. Our readers are founders, builders, students, and knowledge workers. Which course, track or project would you suggest for each of them, depending on where they are starting from?
Pick the one that matches where you are today:
Founders: start with the AI Fundamentals track or AI Business Fundamentals track to see where AI can boost your business’s efficiency.
Builders: go straight to the Associate AI Engineer for Developers track. You’ll be working with LLMs, embeddings and APIs, not watching slides about them.
Students and knowledge workers: Python Fundamentals, SQL Fundamentals, or Power BI Fundamentals, all skills that can make your resume stand out on the job market.

3. If a reader has seven days and about 30 minutes a day, what should they do first, and what can they realistically finish by the end of the week?
Thirty minutes a day is about 3.5 hours across the week. That’s more than enough, if you don’t waste it. Most people sample ten courses and finish none. Don’t. On day one, pick one goal and one track. Then show up at the same time every day. Realistically, you can finish a full introductory course like Introduction to SQL, Python, or Introduction to AI for Work (about 2 hours each) and use the rest of the week on a guided project with a real dataset. One week won’t make you an expert. But it will take you from “I’ve been meaning to start” to “I’ve finished something.”
4. What helps people keep what they learned after the week ends, rather than starting and dropping it?
Three things make the difference. First, write code from the very first lesson. Every DataCamp course is interactive, so you build, break things and fix them instead of watching passive videos. That’s what makes it stick. Second, finish one thing. A completed course or project gives you momentum. Ten half-started ones give you guilt. Third, make it visible. Build a guided project with a real dataset and add it to your free portfolio, or share what you learned with your network. The habit matters more than the hours: if 30 minutes a day worked during Free Access Week, keep the same slot the week after.
5. What happens when the week ends: what stays available on a free account, and is there an offer for those who want to continue?
Your free account stays yours. On the free plan you keep access to the first chapter of every course, skill assessments, all cheat sheets and tutorials, live code-alongs, and competitions. If the week clicked and you want to keep going, premium unlocks the whole library, so you can carry on with the track you started and turn one good week into a skill that can change your career.
