This is a great behind-the-scenes look at how Glasp hustled to find its first 1,000 users. The combination of personalized outreach, curated content, and hands-on onboarding shows how much thought and care went into understanding users early on. It's a helpful reminder that in the beginning, growth often comes from doing things that don’t scale but with the right insights, those efforts can lay the foundation for scalable systems later.

Congrats on your journey. Love your how-to guides.

Out of curiosity, to what extent did word of mouth or user-generated content contribute to the growth?

Did you have any tactics running on these matters?

To what extent does word of mouth count?

Thank you for reading and leaving a comment!

Technically, we can estimate the efficiency or contribution of word-of-mouth for the growth, but we don't track or calculate it.

The user-generated content helped us grow the user base, but we aren't measuring it now. It's a bit difficult to distinguish the contribution among UGC, AI-generated content, and content we created.

We can share how we increased UGC and leveraged it for SEO and viral in a future post. So stay tuned!
